De Watergroep firmly commits to the Microsoft Dynamics AX technology and UMAX
29/08/2013 – Deurle (Ghent), Belgium. Itineris is proud to announce that ‘De Watergroep’ has awarded the contract for the implementation of the Neptunus project to Itineris and its joint partners Delaware Consulting & Steria.
Starting in October 2013, Itineris will act as prime contractor and support together with its partner companies De Watergroep in the extension of the current customer information system (CIS) on Microsoft Dynamics AX (UMAX). The existing platform will be upgraded to a full range ERP on the same ‘leader of industry’ platform.
The extra services and functionality that will be added to the UMAX platform are: field & service management (including mobile workforce management), trade & logistics and accounting.
In addition, Itineris will oversee the implementation and integration of these extra modules on the Microsoft Dynamics AX platform as well as be responsible for the operational management, hosting & maintenance.
Jan Hammenecker – Commercial Director on the new agreement with Itineris: “The objective of De Watergroep is to manage the full company activities and all services provided to our 2.8 million water customers on one technology standard. By doing so our company can augment the degree of automation and integration, increase efficiency, accelerate customer processes, plan better & followup more closely interventions as well as digitalize and automate certain procedures (purchasing, mobile workforce…).”
Bert De Winter – Director ICT – adds to this: “By extending our current CIS with the extra functionality, De Watergroep will be ready for the future. We will be able to service our customers better, while reducing our IT architecture to one integrated solution & technology and hence reduce the cost to serve. We are firmly committed to the Microsoft Dynamics AX platform and UMAX solution of Itineris.”
